The four-stage protocol

Stage 1: SIBOtic™ — Eradicate

SIBOtic™ is the antimicrobial treatment stage — a high-dose, four-compound botanical formula targeting the bacterial and archaeal overgrowth that defines SIBO. It combines Garlic extract 1% allicin (1,500mg), Berberine HCl 97% from Coptis chinensis (500mg), Caprylic Acid (300mg), and Oregano leaf oil (300mg) — each working through a distinct antimicrobial mechanism.*

These four mechanisms — thiol enzyme alkylation (allicin), DNA intercalation (berberine), membrane disruption (caprylic acid), and membrane potential disruption (oregano oil) — provide broad-spectrum coverage across hydrogen-producing bacteria, methane-producing archaea, and fungal co-colonisers.*

SIBO-MMC™ addresses the single most important mechanism of SIBO recurrence — Migrating Motor Complex (MMC) dysfunction. It combines L-Glutamine 750mg (primary enterocyte fuel for intestinal barrier repair) and Zinc orotate 10mg (tight junction cofactor) for structural barrier repair, with Lion's Mane whole mushroom 250mg (the only functional mushroom that supports nerve growth factor expression for ENS neuron regeneration) and Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl 750mg (neuronal mitochondrial fuel and acetylcholine precursor for ENS repair).*

The ENS is the neurological control system for the MMC — repairing the ENS with SIBO-Rebuild™ is directly complementary to restoring MMC function with SIBO-MMC™.*

Stage 4: SIBOZyme™ — Support Digestion

How to use the protocol

Dr. Morstein's protocol is designed to be used in stages, with SIBOZyme™ used throughout:

Stage 1: Begin with SIBOtic™ for approximately 4 weeks to address the active bacterial/archaeal overgrowth. Use SIBOZyme™ with meals throughout.*

Stage 2: Transition to SIBO-MMC™ (taken between meals to support the fasted MMC) to address motility and prevent recurrence. Continue SIBOZyme™ with meals.*

Stage 3: Add SIBO-Rebuild™ to support intestinal mucosal repair and ENS restoration. Can be used concurrently with Stages 2 and ongoing. Continue SIBOZyme™ with meals.*
