I rarely write reviews, but here goes! 25 years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I started Synthroid, then took generic levothyoxine for about 15 years and finally was put on Levoxyl, for the remainder. Through the years I had consistant readings within the "range" yet, I never really felt good. The symptoms were still there to include thinning hair, puffy face, always tired etc and requiring bloodwork every 3 yo 6 months to keep me within this "range" that was acceptable TO THEM. I finally decided I was done, weaned myself down with my remaining Levoxyl script ( 150mg) by scoring them and began looking into alternatives. Through my own research, I decided to try dessicated bovine thyroid. There are MANY brands and initially I tried one that seemed ok, but still not producing results that I could truly feel....THEN I found Priority One. What a game changer! (Easy ordering, prompt shipping, and really no more expensive than buying brand name thyroid meds). I started off with the 65mg Thyroid Bovine supplement. One a day for about a month, increased to 2 a day and did that regime for many months. I started to feel better. Finally, I decided to try the 300mg and have been doing that for several months now and it has made such difference! One pill a day and I added a selenium supplement to that. I look back now and I don't ever remember feeling this good on any of the prescription thyroid meds I was put on and I was on them for half of my life! I sleep better, no brain fog, face is not puffy, my eyebrows are not thinned, my nails grow, my joints don't hurt anymore, etc ..many good side effects for me. I take no other prescription meds and never have. Only thryoid meds for the condition I was diagnosed with all of those years ago. Best decision I've ever made for me! **People have to do what's right for them so I respect folks right to listen and do everything a doctor tells you to. **
To those who will want to ask..
"Have you had your levels ( tsh, t4, t3, checked? " No, I have not, and don't plan to. As a person who was mostly undermedicated, and at times overmedicated ( based on that "range " I keep refering to) with man made pharmaceuticals, I do know what it feels like on each side of the spectrum. The symptoms of each speak for themselves and I'll know what I to do should I find myself feeling a certain way that I believe my Doctor should review. For now? I'm my own best healthcare advocate and this Priority One supplement is a very, very good product!!! Thank you reading my review. :)
