I Comp™ is a comprehensive ocular health formula that addresses this oxidative burden from multiple angles, combining three patented branded carotenoid and antioxidant ingredients with a broad spectrum of ocular-supportive nutrients and botanicals.*

What's inside and why it matters

Vitamin C as Ascorbic Acid (970mg, 1,078% DV) — At nearly 1,000mg per serving, Vitamin C is included at a very high dose. The aqueous humour of the eye contains one of the highest concentrations of Vitamin C in the body — up to 30–50 times higher than in blood plasma — reflecting the critical role of Vitamin C in maintaining normal ocular antioxidant defence and supporting normal collagen synthesis in the eye's connective tissues.*

Vitamin E as d-alpha-Tocopherol Acid Succinate (268mg, 1,787% DV) — The acid succinate ester form of natural d-alpha-tocopherol — a fat-soluble antioxidant protecting cell membranes from lipid peroxidation. At 268mg — 1,787% of the daily value — Vitamin E and Vitamin C work synergistically: Vitamin C regenerates oxidised Vitamin E, providing comprehensive water-soluble and fat-soluble antioxidant protection throughout ocular tissues. Contains soy.*

Zinc as Zinc Gluconate (30mg, 273% DV) — Zinc is the most abundant trace mineral in the eye, concentrated particularly in the retina and choroid. Zinc is an essential cofactor for multiple retinal enzymes and is required for the normal metabolism of Vitamin A in the retinal pigment epithelium. At 30mg — 273% of the daily value — this is a meaningful, high-potency zinc dose reflecting the eye's specific requirements.*

Selenium as l-Selenomethionine, BioSel-5000® (50mcg, 91% DV) — BioSel-5000® is a registered trademark form of selenium as l-selenomethionine — the organic form with superior bioavailability over inorganic selenium. Selenium is an essential cofactor for glutathione peroxidase, a key antioxidant enzyme particularly important in the lens for protection against oxidative damage.*

Copper as Copper Carbonate Gluconate (2mg, 222% DV) — Included as an essential counterpart to the high-dose zinc in this formula. High-dose zinc supplementation can deplete copper through competition for absorption. The inclusion of copper at 222% of the daily value ensures normal copper status is maintained alongside the therapeutic zinc dose.*

ChromeMate® Chromium (as chromium chloride hexahydrate polynicotinate, 200mcg, 571% DV) — ChromeMate® is a patented, registered trademark form of chromium from InterHealth Nutraceuticals supporting normal glucose metabolism and healthy insulin sensitivity — relevant to ocular health given the well-established association between metabolic health and lens and retinal tissue integrity.*

Betatene® Natural Mixed Carotenoids from Dunaliella Whole Algae (54mg) — Betatene® is a patented, registered trademark natural mixed carotenoid complex from BASF Group, derived from the Dunaliella salina microalgae. Unlike synthetic beta-carotene, Betatene® provides the complete naturally occurring carotenoid profile: beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, cryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, and lutein — all in their natural molecular forms and ratios.*

This is a critical distinction: natural mixed carotenoids from Dunaliella provide zeaxanthin and lutein — the two carotenoids that selectively accumulate in the macula and form the macular pigment. Macular pigment density is directly correlated with normal macular health and visual function. Synthetic beta-carotene provides none of these macular-specific carotenoids.*

FloraGLO® Lutein from Aztec Marigold flower (Tagetes erecta, 6mg, 5% Lutein) — FloraGLO® is a patented, registered trademark lutein extract from Kemin Industries (protected by U.S. Patent No. 9,226,940). Lutein and zeaxanthin are the only two carotenoids found in the macula, where they absorb blue light — a primary driver of photoreceptor oxidative damage — and quench singlet oxygen, the reactive oxygen species most responsible for retinal oxidative stress.*

Alpha Lipoic Acid (50mg) — A both fat- and water-soluble antioxidant providing dual-compartment protection throughout the aqueous and lipid-containing environments of the eye. ALA also regenerates other antioxidants including Vitamins C and E and glutathione, amplifying the formula's overall ocular antioxidant network.*

Diosmin Extract 95% from Orange fruit (Citrus sinensis, 50mg) — Diosmin is a flavonoid glycoside standardised to 95% purity with well-documented vascular protective properties. Diosmin supports healthy capillary integrity and normal microvascular function — directly relevant to the delicate retinal vasculature that supplies the photoreceptors.*

Bioflavonoids Extract 25% from Bitter Orange fruit (200mg) — A broad-spectrum citrus bioflavonoid complex supporting Vitamin C activity, healthy capillary integrity, and antioxidant protection of ocular tissues.*

Bilberry Fruit Extract 25% Anthocyanins (Vaccinium myrtillus, 80mg) — Standardised to 25% anthocyanins, providing 20mg of active anthocyanins per serving. Bilberry anthocyanins support healthy microvascular circulation in the retinal capillaries and have a long tradition of use for supporting normal visual acuity and night vision.*

Eyebright Stem/Leaf/Flower (Euphrasia stricta, 50mg) — One of the most traditional botanicals for ocular health support, used in European herbal medicine for centuries for its role in supporting normal eye comfort and healthy ocular mucosal function.*
