Vitamin A as Beta-Carotene (2,500mcg RAE, 278% DV) — Provided as beta-carotene at a high 278% of the daily value. Vitamin E as rrr-alpha-Tocopherol, Sunvitol™ (40mg, 267% DV) — Sunvitol™ is a registered trademark of Nutralliance, providing the natural RRR stereoisomer of alpha-tocopherol from non-GMO sunflower oil — the biologically preferred form of Vitamin E. At 267% of the daily value, providing fat-soluble antioxidant protection for cell membranes throughout the intestinal epithelium, supporting normal cellular integrity and protecting epithelial cells from oxidative damage.*
Folate as Quatrefolic® (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt (442mcg DFE / 482mcg folate equivalent, 111% DV) — Quatrefolic® is a patented, registered trademark active folate from Gnosis S.p.A. (protected by U.S. Patent No. 7,947,662), delivering (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid as the glucosamine salt — the biologically active form that enters the methylation cycle directly without requiring MTHFR enzyme conversion.*
Folate is a critical cofactor for normal intestinal epithelial cell proliferation and renewal. The intestinal epithelium has one of the fastest cell turnover rates in the body — the entire lining renews itself every 3–5 days — and this rapid cell division demands continuous, adequate folate for normal DNA synthesis and cell replication. Quatrefolic® ensures this folate demand is met regardless of MTHFR genetic status.*
Zinc as Zinc Oxide Picolinate (4mg, 36% DV) — A blend of zinc forms including picolinate for enhanced bioavailability. L-Glutamine (500mg) — The primary fuel source of intestinal epithelial cells. Unlike most other tissues that rely on glucose for energy, the intestinal epithelium preferentially uses glutamine as its energy substrate. Normal intestinal epithelial cell function, proliferation, and tight junction maintenance all depend on an adequate glutamine supply. At 500mg per serving, L-Glutamine provides direct nutritional support for the energy metabolism of the gut lining.*
N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine 98% (350mg) — At 98% purity, this is a pharmaceutical-grade N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine (NAG) — the primary building block of intestinal mucin glycoproteins that form the protective mucus gel layer coating the intestinal epithelium.
