Stomach Ingredients
Betaine HCl 98% (660mg per serving) — At 660mg — three times the dose in standard digestive formulas — this is a very high-potency gastric acid support dose. Betaine hydrochloride provides supplemental hydrochloric acid to support normal gastric pH, pepsin activation, dietary protein denaturation, and mineral ionisation for absorption. At this dose, Hypo-Gest™ is designed for individuals who require substantial gastric acid support.*
L-Glutamic Acid (660mg per serving) — Matching the Betaine HCl dose, L-Glutamic Acid provides complementary acidifying support to optimise gastric pH for protein digestion and pepsin activation.*
Pepsin (600mg, 1:3,000 potency per serving) — At 600mg — three times the dose in standard formulas — this provides an exceptionally high-activity pepsin dose. Pepsin is the primary gastric proteolytic enzyme, active at the acid pH created by the Betaine HCl and L-Glutamic Acid. Together, this stomach trio creates a genuinely robust gastric acid and proteolytic environment.*
