Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is characterised by abnormal colonisation of the small intestine by bacteria (and/or archaea in methane-dominant SIBO). These organisms ferment carbohydrates and proteins in the small intestine, producing hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulphide gases that cause bloating, altered bowel habits, and nutrient malabsorption. What's inside and why it matters
Garlic Bulb Extract 1% Allicin (Allium sativum, 1,500mg per serving) — The highest-dosed ingredient in this formula. 1,500mg of garlic extract standardised to 1% allicin — providing 15mg of active allicin per serving. Allicin is one of the most potent natural antimicrobial compounds known, with broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and archaea. Allicin penetrates microbial cell membranes and reacts with thiol-containing enzymes via its thiosulfinate group — irreversibly inhibiting essential microbial metabolic enzymes through a mechanism distinct from antibiotics, meaning there is no cross-resistance with pharmaceutical antibiotics. Allicin specifically has documented activity against methane-producing archaea (Methanobrevibacter smithii) — the primary organism responsible for methane-dominant SIBO.*
Berberine HCl 97% from Coptis chinensis root (500mg per serving) — At 500mg of 97% purity — providing 485mg of pure berberine per serving. Berberine is one of the most extensively studied botanical antimicrobial compounds, with published clinical research specifically in SIBO. Berberine intercalates into bacterial DNA, inhibiting DNA replication and RNA transcription; it also inhibits FtsZ — the bacterial cell division protein — preventing bacterial proliferation. A notable clinical trial demonstrated berberine's equivalence to rifaximin in hydrogen-dominant SIBO eradication rates.*
Caprylic Acid from Sodium Hydroxide Caprylate (300mg per serving) — Caprylic acid (C8:0 — octanoic acid) is a medium-chain saturated fatty acid naturally occurring in coconut oil. As a medium-chain fatty acid, caprylic acid inserts into microbial phospholipid bilayers, disrupting membrane integrity, causing membrane depolarisation, and inhibiting fatty acid synthesis. Caprylic acid is particularly valuable in SIBO presentations with a fungal (Candida) co-colonisation component — a common finding in SIBO patients.*
Oregano Leaf Oil (Origanum vulgare spp., 300mg per serving) — Oregano essential oil providing carvacrol (typically 60–80% of oregano oil) and thymol as the primary active compounds. Carvacrol and thymol are phenolic monoterpenoids that penetrate and disrupt microbial cell membranes, disrupting the proton motive force and membrane potential, causing ion leakage and ultimately cell lysis. Oregano oil has documented broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria, and Candida species, working synergistically with caprylic acid's membrane activity.*

The functional medicine provider I see said to take this to prepare my guy for an intense pre/probiotic regimen; that this would make the process more gradual and successful.
Second round of SIBOtic, hopefully will help get rid of SIBO, just wish the capsules were smaller !

These may be helpful for sibo, ???, but the price has gone up by like 20%. What is wrong with these GREEDY supplement makers. find the ingredients somewhere else. I have had it with these price increases.
I'm suffering for SIBO BAD BREATH for almost 10 years and I thank God I bump on this product. Yes it's pricey but man this is life changer. I received mine Friday afternoon so I took 1 capsule but I vomited and had severe headache at the same time diarrhea that is super smelly. I rehydrate myself and in the morning I ate breakfast and took another capsule. I never had headache but I feel like super hungry even I just ate. It's only my second capsule but I noticed my breath is getting better and I don't feel bloated and I kept pooping with very stinky poop. Then dinner I took 1 again. Another morning I brush my teeth with no smell anymore. I took this together with enzymes but I can say this is the best. Today it's Sunday I took it 1 capsule Three times a day until I can adjust but I'm so happy with the result. I'm looking forward that this SIBO BREATH will be totally gone. Thank You Lord for the wisdom of this person who created this.
I developed SIBO after GI surgery. A very, very expensive 14-day course of Xifaxan did nothing to ease my symptoms. I found this product online by chance, and I decided to try it. I've been taking just one capsule with dinner for a week and my symptoms are already completely gone! I'm even starting to put some weight back on (SIBO made me very underweight), which has been amazing. I am so glad I found this product!
I didn't use the bathroom for 5 months. I spent $500+ on different methods to try and go:Oreganol and oil of oregano, grapefruit seed extract liquid and pills, monolaurin, taking cloves of garlic, probiotics (bifidobacterium lactis and organic yogurts), peppermint tea, magnesium citrate, celtic salt, ducolax chews, glycerine suppositories, a Molasses enema (given by the hospital), senna leaf, Castor oil, pears, grapes, apples, slippery elm, ginger and artichoke, Chinese herbs, misc. American Herb blends, very expensive elemental diet powders with no whey, staying away from sugar and methane forming foods, going gluten free, drinking San Pelligrino sparkling mineral water (and also actual water) going vegetarian etc...I also tried walking, yoga, accupressure, and intestinal massage with no luck. Like literally nothing was coming out.This right here is the thing that saved me. My skin looked so sick and I felt so awful. Food would not go down anymore and I was at my wits end. The hospital kept telling me I can try another enema (couldn't give mag citrate because it waa recalled- but I had some ones before the recall to take)I was so hungry and yet so full it was hard to breathe. And now I'm cured!It's formulated with some of the things I've taken before as separate formulas but the way they have it combined got me normal after 2 days of taking not even the full dose. I started with just 1 and the bottle recommends more than that before meals.After taking that first one I got severe reflux and felt awful but I could tell it was working because for the first time in months I could here my stomach making sounds. Also where the blockage was over the course of a few days I felt it move a little. Best to cure over growth bacteria in intestines
My naturopath prescribed this to me and I am SO happy she did. This helped me tremendously with my SIBO, and I even felt less anxiety while on it. I felt like I could actually go out of my house again and not have to worry about having any stomach issues. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a SIBO diagnosis, but also check with a naturopath first since there are different types of SIBO. Regular doctors did not help me at all with this issue.
Every time I ate, 1-2 hours later I was bloated and in pain. After 4 miserable years, I found a GI who diagnosed me with SIBO. I took a breath test. At the same time I shared this information with my nutritionist. She immediately recommended Sibotic and Sobo Zyme for phase one treatment. When I told my GI, he said that I should listen to her. He’s seen great results on patients taking Sibotic. I been taking it for 4 weeks and seen amazing results! I am now on phase two with Sibo Rebuild and Sibo MMC. Fyi... I agree with other reviews. Take 1/3 of recommended dose! The first week was challenging as your body deprived of vitamins and minerals is learning to digest these supplements. Good luck healing!
I actually purchased this through my naturopath doc who was the only medical person to bring up SIBO as a possible diagnosis. I've been having major IBS symptoms for over 10 years. I have not been able to have a job outside my house due to stomache pain, farting & diarrhea. All regular medical doctors (including gastro) told me to learn to live with IBS as there was no treatment. I started developing food intolerances, especially to sugar, dairy & wheat. Food was making me so sick and I started losing a lot of weight. At my first visit to the naturopath she suggested doing a breath test for SIBO. It came back almost off the chart hydrogen positive. After 3 months of Sibotic 2 pills 3x day, I am starting to be able to eat these foods again! Hardly any IBS symptoms. I plan on doing another 3 months just to make sure all the bacteria are actually eradicated from my small intestine. I don't want the SIBO to come back. Well worth the cost !

I was diagnosed with Hydrogen SIBO and started taking this product as an alternative to taking antibiotics. I worked up from 1 cap 3 times per day and am now doing 2 capsules 3 times per day. I definitely need to take with food to avoid stomach upset and the garlic effect is a bit intense ...but it seems to be working and I am seeing changes with my SIBO symptoms after only 1 week. I am also taking some enzymes and other herbal "killing" agents as adjuncts but using this product mainly for now. Will plan to redo breath test at some point and will report back with my results.
