The gut after SIBO — why rebuilding matters
SIBO causes characteristic damage to the small intestinal environment: bacterial toxins and metabolic byproducts damage tight junction proteins that maintain intestinal barrier integrity; chronic inflammation disrupts enteric nervous system (ENS) neurons that regulate normal motility; and the elevated bacterial load depletes the mucosal structural resources the gut relies on.*

Zinc as Zinc Orotate Oxide (10mg, 91% DV) — The orotate form provides enhanced cellular delivery of zinc — the most important trace mineral for normal intestinal tight junction protein synthesis and mucosal cell renewal. Zinc is an essential cofactor for metalloproteinases involved in normal mucosal repair and for transcription factors that regulate enterocyte differentiation.*
Lion's Mane Whole Mushroom (Hericium erinaceus, 250mg per serving) — The most distinctive and clinically targeted ingredient in this formula. Lion's Mane is the only known functional mushroom with documented activity as a nerve growth factor (NGF) stimulator. Its unique hericenone and erinacine compounds support the expression of nerve growth factor — the signalling protein required for normal peripheral nervous system neuron maintenance and regeneration.*
The enteric nervous system (ENS) — the network of approximately 500 million neurons embedded in the gastrointestinal wall — governs all aspects of gut function including the Migrating Motor Complex (MMC).
