EFLA®940 Pumpkin Seed Extract (Cucurbita pepo) — EFLA®940 is a proprietary pumpkin seed extract produced using a specific cold-press extraction process developed by Frutarom to preserve the full complement of bioactive compounds in pumpkin seed — including phytosterols (particularly delta-7-sterols unique to pumpkin seed), cucurbitin, tocopherols, carotenoids, and fatty acids.*
Pumpkin seed's unique delta-7-phytosterol content — particularly delta-7-stigmastenol, delta-7-avenasterol, and delta-7-campesterol — supports normal androgen and oestrogen receptor activity in bladder smooth muscle and pelvic floor tissue. These sterols are specifically studied for their role in supporting normal detrusor muscle function (the smooth muscle of the bladder wall that contracts during urination) and normal pelvic floor muscle tone — two key physiological mechanisms underlying normal bladder control.*
SoyLife® Soy Germ 40% Isoflavone (non-GMO Glycine max) — SoyLife® is a registered trademark of Frutarom Health, providing non-GMO soy germ extract standardised to 40% total isoflavones (genistein, daidzein, and glycitein). Soy isoflavones are phytoestrogens — plant compounds that modulate oestrogen receptor activity. In the context of bladder health, oestrogen receptors are expressed throughout the lower urinary tract — in the bladder trigone, urethra, and pelvic floor musculature. Its primary bioactive compounds — diosphenol (buchu camphor) and isomenthone — provide traditional antiseptic and anti-inflammatory support for the urinary tract mucosa. Buchu supports normal urinary tract comfort and healthy urogenital environment.*
Rehmannia Root Extract 4:1 (20mg per serving) — A 4:1 concentrated extract equivalent to 80mg of raw Rehmannia root per serving. Rehmannia glutinosa (Sheng Di Huang) is a primary herb in traditional Chinese medicine used for kidney and adrenal support. In TCM, the kidney system governs fluid metabolism and urination — Rehmannia is the primary kidney Yin tonic supporting normal kidney fluid regulation. Rehmannia's iridoid glycosides (catalpol, aucubin) support normal adrenal function and healthy fluid balance, relevant to normal urinary pattern regulation.*
Cinnamon Bark (20mg per serving) — Cinnamon bark provides cinnamaldehyde and polyphenolic proanthocyanidins supporting normal glucose metabolism and normal insulin sensitivity. The inclusion of Cinnamon in a bladder formula reflects the well-established relationship between blood glucose dysregulation and urinary frequency — elevated blood glucose draws water into the urine via osmotic diuresis, increasing urinary volume and frequency.
