SIBOZyme™ (No HCL) is the Betaine HCl-free version of Dr. Mona Morstein ND's SIBOZyme digestive enzyme formula — designed for SIBO patients with normal or adequate gastric acid production who do not require supplemental Betaine HCl. It provides the same comprehensive digestive enzyme complex, standardised Ox Bile, Tolerase-G® prolyl endopeptidase, and brush border enzyme replacement as the standard formula, with a higher-concentration Pancreatin 10X and standardised Ox Bile extract (45% cholic acid).*

How SIBOZyme™ (No HCL) differs from SIBOZyme™
The standard SIBOZyme™ includes Betaine HCl 98% (220mg) for patients with low stomach acid (hypochlorhydria) — a common predisposing factor in SIBO. SIBOZyme™ (No HCL) removes the Betaine HCl and replaces it with Glutamic Acid 99% (222mg) as a milder gastric acid support. It also upgrades to Pancreatin 10X (vs 8X) and uses Ox Bile extract standardised to 45% cholic acid for improved bile acid potency verification. This version is appropriate for individuals with normal or high gastric acid who experience discomfort with Betaine HCl, or those whose healthcare provider has determined Betaine HCl supplementation is not indicated.*

Glutamic Acid 99% (222mg per serving) — High-purity L-Glutamic Acid supporting normal gastric acidification as a gentler alternative to Betaine HCl. Glutamic Acid supports optimal protein digestion and normal gastric pH without the stronger acidifying effect of Betaine HCl.*
Pancreatin 10X (333mg per serving) — Upgraded to 10X concentration (vs 8X in the standard formula) — providing Amylase 79,920 USP, Lipase 13,320 USP, and Protease 79,920 USP per serving. The 10X concentration delivers equivalent or greater enzyme activity compared to the standard formula's 8X at a slightly lower mass, providing the three primary macronutrient digestive enzymes at high-potency USP-standardised activities.*
Ox Bile Extract 45% Cholic Acid (300mg per serving) — Standardised to 45% cholic acid — providing 135mg of active cholic acid per serving. This standardised Ox Bile extract provides a potency-verified bile acid dose, ensuring consistent fat emulsification activity across batches. Ox Bile replaces the bile acid emulsification function disrupted in SIBO patients, supporting normal fat digestion and fat-soluble vitamin (A, D, E, K) absorption. Amylase (5,000 SKB/g, 60mg per serving) — Additional fungal amylase providing 300,000 SKB of supplemental amylase activity at a lower pH range than pancreatic amylase — augmenting Pancreatin 10X carbohydrate digestion throughout the stomach and upper small intestine.*
